Dr. Richa Bansal (MBBS, MS – Obstetrics & Gynecology, DNB, MCh Gynecological Oncology) is senior Consultant Gynec Oncosurgeon, and Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeon in Mumbai.

She earned her MBBS from Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Nerul, Navi Mumbai, followed by an MS in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the renowned Lokmanya Tilak Medical College and Hospital—one of the busiest and most respected municipal hospitals in Mumbai.

Dr. Bansal went on to complete her MCh in Gynecological Oncology at the prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, where she gained over six years of experience in the Department of Gynecological Oncology. Tata Memorial Hospital is recognized as one of the largest tertiary referral cancer centers in the world.

With more than a decade of focused practice in Gynecological Oncology, Dr. Bansal is regarded as a key opinion leader in the field. She is highly skilled in performing complex gynecological cancer surgeries through open, laparoscopic (keyhole), and robotic approaches. Her expertise includes managing cancers of the ovary, uterus, cervix, vagina, and vulva. She has a special proficiency in advanced procedures such as cytoreductive surgeries and HIPEC for ovarian and peritoneal surface malignancies, robotic or open radical hysterectomies, retroperitoneal lymph node dissections, as well as radical vulvectomies with groin lymph node dissection.

Dr. Bansal has a particular interest in treating gynecological cancers in young women, where treatment plans are tailored to preserve reproductive and hormonal function without compromising oncological safety. She also has extensive experience in managing patients with hereditary cancer syndromes, offering genetic counselling and testing as part of comprehensive care.
